Layla turned 9 months old on monday. She went to the Dr. for her check up. She now weighs 18lb 6oz, which puts her in the 50th % on weight. The Dr. was surprised that she gained 5 pounds in 3 months, but I know why. She started more solids at 6 months and went from breastmilk to formula. She loves to eat, and hasn't turned up her nose at any foods. She's now eating turkey, chicken, all kinds of veggies and fruits, rice and oatmeal and yogurt.
She's now 28 1/4 in long, which puts her in the 75th % for height, which is about where she's been all along.
Layla started waving again. She stopped for a while, but now she's using it in the right context. She waves whenever someone comes in the room or leaves the room. The funny thing is, she usually waves backwards, like she's waving to herself. It's too cute.
She's been sleeping well at night in her crib, which is new. She's been sleeping on the extra bed in the next room for a couple of months, but I finally made the move to the crib in my room. Well, it's time to put the little one to bed. Wish me luck.
