Well, I know we've spent some time at Oma and Pa's house. We went out on the boat and Layla got to go swimming for the first time in the lake. We weren't so sure how she'd like it, since she had to wear her life jacket and couldn't touch the bottom, but she actually enjoyed it. We all took turns floating with her, and even Sandy joined the fun.

Jonathan has been gone the last few weeks. He went to Wisconsin for his time of training with the reserves, but was quickly called away to California when his grandma fell ill. She passed away, and he is helping his grandpa with arrangements.
Layla and I took a road trip to San Antonio with Oma. We went to the Riverwalk and ate mexican food, spent a day at Fiesta Texas and visited the children's museum. First of all, it was hot. We've had I don't know how many consecutive days of 100+ temps. Although, yesterday it was 109 and today it's 82 (go figure). Layla was scared of the rides at Fiesta Texas, even the Wiggles' Big Red Cars. She wanted to sit in my lap, but she had to sit next to me and buckle up, so that wasn't cutting it. I got her on the Big Red Planes, but she screamed the whole ride. So, the only thing she enjoyed was the carousel and the shows. She finally fell asleep, so we grabbed a souvenir and headed for the hotel.

The children's museum went much better. First of all, it was indoors, and it was really awesome. I had a great time too. Three floors of hands on playing and learning, a ball factory, bubbles, airplane and a mini HEB grocery store. I hope to find something like that closer to home.
We keep busy, and time goes by so fast that I forget to take pictures and update the blog. I need the days to last just a bit longer. Enjoy the pics I did take.
