Summertime!

I know it's been a long time since my last post, and I got a friendly email reminder that I was overdue (thanks Pam).

It seems most our weekends have been spent with family or friends and lots of swimming and time outdoors. So, it's been a fun summer so far, although nothing too crazy or out of the ordinary has taken place.

Layla loves the water, and whenever I say we're going swimming, she comes to me with her swim diaper, swimsuit, sandals and sunscreen in hand. And eventhough I slather her up with 50 SPF at least 30 minutes before we leave, just like the Dr.'s recommend, she has quite the tan line.

We spent the 4th of July at our friends'(Sarah and Dewayne) house. We bought fireworks on the way there, and Jonathan put on a personal fireworks show for us that night. Layla enjoyed the show, except for the really loud popping ones. She would jump and bury her head in my chest. Those are annoying. We cooked out and had an awesome dinner and played games. A good way to spend the holiday.
