Excuses, Excuses

So here are my top 3 excuses for not updating my blog for over a month:

1. No pics. We forgot to bring our memory card reader with us, and my parents don't have one. I have no way to upload pics here at the house.
2. Busy. We immediately went to an auction and bought a used car (2007 Toyota 4Runner) then did all the extras that come with that (new tires, tow hitch, cleaning, floor mats). We then went house hunting for 2 days and found a house we love, signed a contract and are currently in escrow. Jonathan has been on interview after interview and will have some good news to post after he makes some decisions. Of course we've been visiting family and friends, shopping for house items and went out to dinner for our anniversary.
3. We're sharing one slow computer. Jonathan and I are used to having our own personal computers. Now we are sharing a computer with my mom as well. I'm spoiled. I really miss having unlimited access to the internet at my whim.

So, I guess you can gather there will be no pics for a while longer. I will share all the specifics about the house once we close. I don't want to jinx anything. I will say we have a really cool master bath with separate his/hers vanities, whirlpool tub, separate shower and his/hers HUGE closets. I can't wait to have a closet and vanity all my own! Jonathan has his own office and the kitchen is nice with plenty of cabinet space and open to the den. It's an awesome neighborhood with community clubhouse, pool, playground, tennis courts and basketball courts. We're really looking forward to settling down.

Layla has adjusted well. She's an active, dramatic, hilarious toddler. She sings the ABC's all day long. Of course not all the letters are pronounced, but the kid can carry a tune. She loves the dog, and the dog is tolerating her. She sleeps and eats like a champ. She turned 19 months today and currently weighs 25lb 13oz and is 33 in tall. It's been raining constantly here, so we haven't had much outside play, but she loves to be outdoors.

We have new cell phones (send me a message if you need them). I'll try to get some pics up soon if I can borrow a computer. Til later, have a Happy Halloween and awesome weekend!
