We've also been to the playground quite a bit. Yesterday evening she started going down a big, twisty slide by herself. It wasn't my intention, but the second time we made it to the top, she sat down and started scooching forward without me, so I let her go for it. Jonathan was at the bottom to play catch. She did so well, we had to climb to to the top a few more times. It's not so easy when you're taller than 5 foot. I beamed my head twice on low lying bars.
We had a BBQ at the park with friends on Sunday. Layla knawed on a corn on the cob for most of the night. I think it was covered in sand by the end. Yum!
She's been so funny lately. When you get her laughing, you can't help but laugh along. It's such a hearty laugh. We've noticed her walking around singing what sounds like the ABC's. Now, when we sing, we can stop in the middle and she'll tell you what comes next. I am really amazed at how well she's picking it up. She loves music. We have a couple of kids' song cds in the car and she enjoys them so much.
And now some pictures...

She loves talking on the phone...

Laying on her favorite blanket. After she takes a bath, she runs and jumps on it naked.

What's better than a BBQ with corn on the cob?

A BBQ with friends, of course...

We hope to be back in TX real soon. We'll let you know when we get a final word.
