Let's Go to the Zoo!

Today we took Layla to the Nuremberg zoo. It was her first trip to the zoo, and I think she had a great day. The zoo was beautiful, it was a perfect weather day and we didn't have to fight any crowds. Everything was reasonably priced and, of course, you can't go anywhere in Germany without having beer, schnitzel, french fries, some kind of weiner and potato salad...so, that was lunch.

I'd have to say Layla's favorite animal was the polar bear. It was partly because she had a good view and they were active. She got a polar bear stuffed animal as a souvenir, and she's currently sleeping with it.

She managed to trip while walking around and ended up with a red mark on her forehead and a scratched nose. She's almost become fast enough to describe her as running. Doesn't she look like she's on a mission in this photo?She also enjoyed the goats in the petting zoo and the penguins swimming past.

All in all, it was a memorable day, and we look forward to many more zoo trips in the future.
