Layla is getting better at her walking. She does really well inside the house and barefoot. Walking around outside with real shoes on is much trickier, but she's getting the hang of it.
She's getting really good at making messes quickly. She loves to be read to, and that's basically the only time she sits relatively still. She's memorized all her board books, and she knows when to do all the movements mommy throws in while reading. She has regular books that are not "board" books, and she has no interest in them. So, the same five books get read five times a day. Fun for us.
She knows what sounds a cow, dog and lion make. She can count to "2". She says "hi" and "bye", blows kisses, can show you where her tummy is located and now shoves her finger up her nose when "nose" is mentioned. She likes to do everything herself, i.e. comb her hair, brush her teeth, wipe her tray, etc. She's lots of fun and lots of attitude. It just depends on the mood of the minute.
We're taking a short trip this weekend to Prague. It's only a 3.5 hour drive. Hopefully it will just be a nice break from all the preparations going on here, and a couple of days to see something new and beautiful. Next post...Prague!
