What a Weekend!

We had a busy, wonderful weekend. On Saturday my friend, Sarah, whom I had originally met in Germany and is now temporarily residing in TX came down. She came to see Layla and me with her 3 kids, who I adore. We fished and took the boat out to go swimming. It's so weird to see her here on my turf, when our friendship developed in another part of the world.

On Sunday, my other 2 Sarahs and Adrea came to visit Layla and me. We've all been friends since elementary school. Again, we took the boat out and went swimming. It was sooo hot, but it's always fun to see old friends and introduce them to my little darling.

With all the busyness of the weekend and entertaining friends, Layla spent a lot of time with Oma. She loves her grandma and always seems so content in her arms.

Jonathan called us today! I had sent him some pics of Layla. One of them was her with her frown. She really knows how to make a pitiful face. He said that face was sooo sad, and it broke his heart just looking at it. Now I'm sure she'll have Daddy wrapped around her little finger!
