Trip to Remember

We just got back from our first AND last family trip before Jonathan has to leave. We had a "free"(hotel and food) weekend in Garmisch. Saturday we started our walk at the ski jump stadium where the 1936 Olympics were held. We walked up a narrow road that followed a stream of clear water coming down off the mountain. We were surrounded by mountains, multi-green trees and fields of flowers. It was a picturesque day and we stopped to take quite a few pictures.

Our final destination was the Partnach Gorge. A narrow pathway runs right through the middle of the gorge with gushing water from melting snow off the mountains. Jonathan had the opportunity to practice his camera skills. We have some beautiful pics.

We took the tripod along and actually took the time to set it up for our first family pics. We had such a great opportunity for beautiful backgrounds.

As you can see, Layla slept peacefully through the whole trip, but at least she'll have pictures to look back on and see where she's been.

Layla also got to go swimming for the first time. She seemed indifferent to being in the water. She doesn't have a swimsuit, so her Pooh onesie served the purpose.
Jonathan and I also had our first professional massages. It was a Swedish hot stone massage, and it was wonderful! It was the perfect addition to a relaxing weekend.
