Sleeping Success!!

I am so proud of my little girl. The last two nights we had a breakthrough. She's had problems going to sleep at night. When I'm ready to go to bed, she's wide-eyed and bushy-tailed. The only way we could sleep was for me to bounce and rock her til she was asleep and then get in bed with her on my chest. Wednesday I gave her a baby massage and did baby yoga with her before bed. I got a DVD with mom and baby workouts and yoga-thanks Sarah! I then laid her in her bed and held her hand til she fell asleep. She slept for 5 hours straight! It was wonderful! Everytime she woke up to eat, she went right back down afterwards. I didn't get my hopes up too high in case it was a fluke, but last night-same thing.

I think she may be hitting a growth spurt too, because she sleeps a lot at night and eats every 2-3 hours all day and night. She's getting big so fast. I had to pack away 2 outfits and some onesies today, because she's just too big for them now. I was surprised at how sad I was about it. One of the outfits she wore in the hospital. I can't believe she's grown that much, but my arms believe it. I can't wait to hit the gym again. I need to bulk up to carry her and all her gear. I'm going to the Dr. next Thursday for my post-natal check-up. Hopefully he'll give me the o.k. to exercise and return to normal operations :)

Layla and I are having dinner at a friend's house tonight, because the hubbies are working late. Our get together is comprised of four ladies with babies born since the end of January. The oldest and youngest are only 2 months apart. The other two ladies have a 10 month old and a 2 yr old and are both pregnant. It's so much fun having other moms with babies the same age and going through the same struggles and accomplishments. We can ask each other anything and share success stories. Thank God for this baby boom!
