End of Year

So I see it's been awhile since I updated. I'm not sure if I'll remember everything that happened in the last two months, but I can hit the highlights.

Thanksgiving was spent, per our tradition, in California with Jonathan's family. We had a really fun time seeing everyone. We spent one day at Universal Studios, which Layla enjoyed much more than I anticipated. We did spend quite a bit of time hanging out at the house, but we ended up starting a new tradition in "puzzle races". It's exactly as it sounds, and don't knock it til you try it.

We had Christmas Eve here at our house with my parents, then spent Christmas day at my parents' house with the rest of my family. It's a lot of fun having two toddlers opening presents. Layla's favorite gift by far was a trunk full of princess clothes, wands, jewelry and shoes. She stopped opening all other presents to dress up. Cason took care of the opening of the remaining presents.

New Year's Eve was uneventful. It's not easy to party when your kiddo has an 8:00 bedtime. That's o.k., I don't think I could even stay up til midnight anymore. Jonathan went to the deer lease that weekend anyway, and he shot a deer and two hogs. He had a really fun time.

Well, one of our Christmas presents to our family was to let them know we're having another baby. We decided it was time to add to our family. The pregnancy has been going very well. I'm 10 weeks today. No morning sickness, just feeling tired and having problems finding food that sounds good.
Then, last monday, the Dr. gave us a surprise when he did my first ultrasound and let us know we're having twins! Shock and awe! I couldn't talk for a few minutes. I just laughed and cried while all these thoughts swirled through my head. It was overwhelming thinking of all the things I'll now have to buy, rearranging our house to get a full bedroom free, buying a new car, and not to mention all the stress of taking care of TWO newborns. I'm much more excited now that I've had a week to digest it all.

So, the title of my blog will be changing this year, and I'm sure  my posts will be full of pregnancy pics and Dr. appt updates. It will be an exciting new year, and I'm anxious to see how it plays out.
