Layla's got a new quirk. She likes to put things on her head. Broccoli, peaches, paper towel - it doesn't matter. I prefer paper towel, because peaches give a crunchy, spike hair do and broccoli just looks gross. Any paper towel or tissue gets shredded into a million tiny pieces. It's a great distraction.

She's a bundle of wild, crazy, squealing energy these days. They say you should read to your children, but mine won't sit still long enough. I end up chasing her around, reading from a book like a crazy person. The longest she has sat and listened was with Papa Doug on Sunday. He had her favorite book, but wasn't reading the words. He would make up a crazy story while turning the pages, only to start over with another crazy story. This held her attention for about 5-10 minutes. Impressive.

She's changing so quickly, and I don't even notice it until I look at a picture from a month ago. Her hair is getting longer, her face more expressive and her body taller, yet also chunkier somehow.
