Waiting on Daddy

Jonathan should be in the long process of making his way home now. I haven't received an email with a flight schedule, but I anticipate receiving one any minute now. That means I check my email every hour. Layla started babbling "da da" in honor of his return. We can't wait for this visit.

We've been having some awesome fall weather (even turning the heat on at night), which inspired me to take some fall pictures in the backyard. She's so photogenic, so I'll probably take more later. They turned out too cute.

Here's her "cowgirl" ensemble she wore a couple of weeks ago. Cracks me up.

Layla's personality is showing itself more and more. She has a quick temper. She's social, which means she wants to be held in the center of attention. And, she's always quick to give a big smile. She seems to be an animal lover. All dogs, especially Sandy, are of interest and elicit an excited smile and pant from Layla.

She certainly keeps me smiling and on my toes.
