Touring Hospitals

Today we went to two different hospitals to register and get a feel for each one before we decide which one should have the honor of delivering Layla. First, we went to the smaller hospital in a town about 25 minutes away. Because it is smaller, I always heard you get a lot of attention and husbands can stay the night in your room. We had an appt. at 9:30 and didn't leave until 2 hours later. I'm not really sure why we had an appt. at all. We were sent back and forth between reception, secretary, labor and delivery (to get a fetal heart monitoring), back to the secretary and finally to speak with a Dr. Jonathan found it creepy and like a hospital out of a horror movie. There were quite a few people laying on gurneys out in the hallways. Weird.

So, we ate lunch and headed to the bigger hospital in town (about 10 min. from our place). Sometimes people try to tell horror stories about their experience there, but I know several ladies who just delivered there and were treated excellent. They all said they would go there again. It was more modern with bright colors (not creepy) and no patients in the hall. Husbands can stay overnight there as long as all the "family rooms" aren't taken. So, I haven't decided for sure, but I just might go with the closer hospital to make things easier. It should be quite the experience either way.

The pics are the latest- 37 weeks and 4 days. Only 2 1/2 weeks to go!!

Britt, you definitely don't want to deliver in a hospital that reminds you of a horror movie! :) haha! :) I'm SOOO excited! She's coming so soon. I find myself wondering everyday if it will be "the" day! :) You look adorable ... are you getting any sleep??? :) Love you much and miss you! Can't wait to meet Layla!!!!!!
